The Amazon products featured to the right are all Golden (A Retelling of Rapunzel) by Cameron Dokey.

These two items are merely three different versions of the same book.

The first one is the Mass Market Paperback edition, which means the book you'll be getting will be in paperback format.

This is perfect if you want to easily carry around the novel or if you're planning to take it around with you.

The second one is the Kindle edition. This format is specifically for the Kindle e-book reader so if you have a Kindle and would like to read this book in your Kindle, then this is the format for you.

The author of this novel is Cameron Dokey. She wrote many other books including a number of other Fairy Tale retellings for the Once Upon A Time series of novels for Simon Pulse.

Golden got an overall rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars from Amazon (as of this writing).

Since this is a retelling of the story of Rapunzel, expect a lot of differences from the version of the Rapunzel Fairy Tale that you know.

But this just makes this novel even more appealing and potentially engrossing.

After all, what's the point of reading something in which you already know all the events that will happen in said story? But, since this is a Fairy Tale retelling, some parts will be similar to the original Rapunzel.

For instance, Rapunzel's birth mother still craves for the plant or herb known as rapunzel (in some Rapunzel versions, it's known as rampion). Her husband steals this plant from their neighbor, the sorceress Melisande (in other versions of the story, her name is Dame Gothel and she is an enchantress or a witch).

When the sorceress catches the man, they enter into an agreement wherein the man's pregnant wife can have as much rapunzel as she wants but, if the wife cannot love her unborn child (when she is born) just as she appears, then Melisande will be the one to raise said child as her own.

As it turns out, baby Rapunzel is born completely bald and her birth mother, who is completely horrified by this, just can't accept this fact so she gives bald Rapunzel to be raised by Melisande.

After 16 years of raising Rapunzel, Melisande reveals that she actually has a biological daughter named Rue, who was cursed by a wizard. Rue needs Rapunzel's help to break the curse. But it's not going to be easy since the two girls have to deal with the bitterness and envy that comes between them.

Tangled is Disney's version of the Rapunzel Fairy Tale.

It's a movie but, as you can see from the item featured to the right, there are some books about Tangled. This is what is known as the novelization of the movie.

If you've already seen the movie, you might still be interested in reading about it. If you haven't seen the movie, then you might want to read about it first before seeing said book come to life by watching the movie.

The Tangled movie is also featured to the right if you would like to watch this movie or if you just want your own copy of said movie.

The Tangled book featured to the right is a novelization of the movie by Disney. The Tangled: The Junior Novelization (Disney Tangled). This was written by Irene Trimble and includes illustrations by Walt Disney Animation Studios. This is the paperback edition of this novel. It got an overall rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars from Amazon (as of this writing).

Tangled is based on the Fairy Tale of Rapunzel but there are many differences.

For starters, while Rapunzel still has her long, long golden hair, but, in this version, her hair is actually magical and it has healing properties including the power to make people young again.

This is all because of a magical golden flower, which had first been discovered by Mother Gothel.

Selfish Mother Gothel wanted to keep the discovery of the flower to herself so she could be young forever.

However, circumstances led to her losing the flower and the flower's magical properties transferring to baby Rapunzel's hair. This is the reason why Mother Gothel steals the baby away from her rightful parents and keeps her imprisoned in a tower where no one can find her.

Both items featured to the right are the same, only differing in their book cover so choose the image cover that you prefer.

The first one is Rapunzel, the One With all the Hair (Twice Upon a Time #1) while the second one is Twice Upon a Time #1: Rapunzel, The One With All the Hair.

Both of these items come in the paperback edition.

However, the second item also has a Kindle edition, which you can access by selecting the proper tab in the book's Amazon product page.

The first novel got an overall rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars from Amazon (as of this writing) while the second one got an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars from Amazon (as of this writing).

This book was written by Wendy Mass. This is the first book in the Twice Upon A Time series. This book can be said to be a he said / she said type of story. It features two different sides of the story, that of Rapunzel's and her prince, who, in this novel, is called Prince Benjamin.

Both Rapunzel and Prince Benjamin are having really bad days though their problems aren't exactly the same.

For Rapunzel, she's been stolen away by a witch and is now stuck in a tower. She also has to worry about possibly having a ghost as a roommate. On top of that, she laments the fact that she doesn't even have a decent hair brush.

As for Prince Benjamin, he's currently stuck in a castle, having to deal with what members of his family want him to be. To be more kingly is what his father wants from him while his mother doesn't want him to ever leave her sight.

On the other hand, his cousin just seems to want to get him into a lot of trouble, possibly even with trolls.

As you can see, both Rapunzel and Prince Benjamin are very much trapped though in entirely different ways Of course, you can expect their paths to cross and this is where things get even more enjoyable and fun.

The item featured to the right is the paperback edition of Into The Wild by Sarah Beth Durst. There's also a Kindle edition of this novel for those who prefer reading books on their e-book readers.

Into The Wild got an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars from Amazon (as of this writing).

This is a really different and unique take on the story of Rapunzel and it even features many other Fairy Tale characters.

This is a fun and refreshing read that really puts a new spin to things. In this story, Rapunzel has a daughter named Julie. They live a normal life (or at least, they're trying to) in the "real" world, specifically in Massachusetts. However, all is not exactly well. There's this thing called The Wild, which is a Fairy Tale world. This was where Rapunzel and other Fairy Tale characters existed and lived before they all escaped into the real world. Now Rapunzel is tasked with keeping The Wild hidden as well as making sure it doesn't escape and cause trouble. She keeps The Wild hidden under Julie's bed.

Julie isn't all that fond of having The Wild under her bed. It causes her much trouble by eating her jeans and sneakers whenever it wants to. Of course, you can expect that The Wild will somehow be set free and it will wreak havoc in the world as it attempts to transform it into a Fairy Tale.

The old Fairy Tale characters are trapped in their old roles before escaping The Wild while the other people are imprisoned in whichever role best suits them. Now it's up to Julie to be the heroine and be the one to save everyone from The Wild including her mother Rapunzel and her grandmother Gothel. This book even has a sequel, which is entitled Out Of The Wild, also by Sarah Beth Durst.

The item featured to the right is the paperback edition of Melisande by E. Nesbit (author) & P.J. Lynch (illustrator).

This book is wonderfully and beautifully illustrated. You can find elements of the Rapunzel Fairy Tale in this story.

But you can also find elements of the story of Sleeping Beauty in this book. The main character in this story is named Melisande, who is a princess.

When she was born, instead of having fairies as her godparents, her own mother and father, the King and Queen, became her godfather and godmother, respectively. The Queen wanted to have a christening party. The King was against this though for fear of forgetting to invite a fairy to the party and having this cause trouble for them. As such, they thought it best not to invite any fairies and just be the godparents to their daughter.

Of course what happened was that all the fairies got offended at not having been invited to Princess Melisande's christening. One of the fairies, the wicked and evil Malevola, cursed the princess to be bald. The baldness doesn't last though as Melisande later on wishes for her hair to grow. Her hair does grow but it soon causes problems.

Letters From Rapunzel by Sara Lewis Holmes is a very intriguing and wonderful story. It contains elements and allusions to the story of Rapunzel though it isn't exactly a Fairy Tale in that the novel is set in the real world.

This book is actually the winner of the Ursula Nordstrom Fiction Contest. It got an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars from Amazon (as of this writing). In fact, if you look at the customer reviews of this book on Amazon, you'll see that it only got either 4 or 5-star ratings (as of this writing).

The main character is Cadence Brogan. She sees and calls herself Rapunzel, likening the story of her life to that of the Fairy Tale in question.

She is trapped and alone and feeling abandoned, though it's not in a tower like Rapunzel but rather in the Homework Club, which takes place after school. She even refers to the teacher in charge of the club as the Wicked Witch (the one that trapped and imprisoned Rapunzel in the tower).

Cadence's father, Aaron Brogan, actually has clinical depression but she refers to it as the Evil Spell. She seeks to break this spell and rescue her father. After finding out about the existence of Box #5667, Cadence starts writing letters to its unknown owner in the hopes of finding a way to rescue her father from the clutches of the Evil Spell.

These are just some of the books that are based on the Fairy Tale of Rapunzel or are Rapunzel retellings. There are many other novels out there that match the aforementioned criteria.
